A Day at Clapping Hands Farm typically begins with Cooperative Games, a morning circle and snack. Our camps for younger children feature two hour-long classes each morning with our artist-teachers developing that weeks theme. Our camps for older children have longer morning classes in order to provide 3 hours of studio time each day. After this, we have a picnic lunch (you bring your own) and do some farm chores (you might collect eggs and feed the chickens or pump water with our hand pump at the well.)

There are two hours of afternoon elective classes we call "Anything Goes" where lead teachers, guest artists, counselors and campers all lead projects, expeditions and activities! Anything Goes is as varied as our camp community and can include further extensions of the week's theme with the lead teachers, blueberry picking, canoeing, water play, basketball, games, and an endless variety of art activities! Many days we include an "All Camp Thing" in the afternoon schedule such as a talent show, all camp game of capture the flag, a guest artist workshop for the entire camp community, a rehearsal for one of our Friday night potlucks, or some days just have a little extra free time after lunch and chores.

The camp day ends with clean up and a closing circle where we plan Anything Goes for the next day, offer appreciation's for the day, talk about any concerns and then have a story from Louise.
